I was watching on the news today that things are getting colder recently. As I'm quite fond of warm weather, I don't really like this. But, since it IS technically winter, I suppose this is inevitable.
I spent much of today reading, which was a happy thing. I finished (which I only started yesterday) Diana Wynne Jones' House of Many Ways. It was good. But I confess I have mixed feelings about both Charmain and Peter. I think that between them, they only have enough common sense for one person. And Peter is bringing most of it to the table.
So now I'm back to reading the Children of the Red King series (on book two) by Jenny Nimmo. The "Charlie Bone books," for those of you who don't bother with formal titles. They're pretty good, even if the first one did have a few flaws. Good enough for me to take a trip to the library and continue reading them, anyway. I expect that, as time goes along, the author will improve and fix the minor writing mistakes. I also hope that she will do something about poor Billy Raven. I worry about the boy.
Wow, the drowsy medicine is really beginning to kick in. This reminds me of the time I bought Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus at my local gamestop. I had gone to the eye doctor for an examination, and they had dialdiaididialieYou know, I can't spell that word! Made my eyes all funky, and they told me to come back in half an hour. So, I went to look at games. And I was deciding whether or not I wanted to buy Dirge when my eyes started going all unfocused, and I realized that if I wanted to get it, I would have to decide in the next minute or so, before it got to the point where I could see neither the game nor my money anymore. So I got it.
Anyway... My medicine is beginning to do the same thing. So I must either post this or fall asleep where I sit, which would make a long, unintelligible string of random letters on this post. So for now, good night!

With his formal attire, consisting of a dress shirt, black tie, fedora hat and suit coat, polite manners and ever-present smile, he could be mistaken for a harmless person.
